HOW DRY?

Mayor Wilder,

I urge you to take immediate steps to address the water crisis. I was glad to see news reports that the DPU has finally released its report on the problematic water rates, but the current situation demands that action be taken NOW. How dry does the James River need to get before mandatory restrictions are put in place to conserve this precious resource?

The James River is being abused, frankly, by the lack of stewardship on the part of area leadership. There is no excuse for media reports like this:

“We haven?t really noticed a drop in water usage. They’ve just remained consistent,” said Angela Fountain of the Richmond Department of Utilities.
